Pediatric & Congenital Heart Center of Alabama
Support Cardiovascular Services today by making a one-time donation, creating a fundraising page, or starting a team.
Funds donated to the Cardiovascular Unit at Children’s of Alabama provide resources for the medical staff to further their research into the study of pediatric congenital heart disease and ensure the treatment program used for our patients is the most up to date and of the highest quality. Donations to the unit are also used to help provide much needed assistance to patient families who are experiencing extended stays due to the treatment their child must receive for their diagnosis.
The Bruno Pediatric Heart Center in the new Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children fulfills the dream of having the cardiovascular (heart) patient and family at the center of care. This "heart hospital within a hospital" is built upon a single platform of care that places key services in three connected buildings. A dedicated team of heart doctors, nurses and other medical professionals join forces to help each patient to reach his or her full potential. In addition, social workers, child life therapists, counselors, nutritionists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and chaplains support this team and our patients and their families.
